Esperanza is 8 years old, about 70 pounds and likes to chase a laser or play with squeaky toys.
Emily loves to be held or cuddled by her people and takes pleasure in being petted or played with.
Emily is great with children and would be the perfect companion for a family.
She needs to be spayed, micro chipped and vaccinated.
Emily will be available for adoption through the Kamloops SPCA on Tuesday.

Ranching Continues To Boost Wine Industry
(Wine Press Release) The past five years have witnessed a dramatic rise in the number of vineyards in Oregon, and Oregon’s wine industry is booming. With 17,000 vineyards spread across the state – representing more than 600 wineries, according to Oregon Wine Board — Oregon wine producers are ensuring wine lovers will have a lot of choices in 2018.
The booming wine industry has been an economic boon to the state, bringing in $2.4 billion in consumer sales, creating more than 1,000 jobs and supporting nearly 17,000 total jobs, according to Oregon Wine Board.
Growth in the wine industry is tied to an increase in Oregon’s number of vineyards and wineries, but its members are also benefitting from a dynamic wine tourism industry that showcases Oregon’s stunning landscape. The sector has also benefited from an influx of tourism, which has spurred more visitors to the state’s wineries and hotels.
New wine in 2017
Unsurprisingly, wineries were some of the most popular and crowded attractions of 2017, in keeping with a trend that has existed for the last couple years. The number of wineries rose to nearly 18,000 in 2017, up from nearly 17,000 in 2016. By comparison, there were only 9,938 vineyards in 2016.
One reason for the popularity of wineries is the number of locations that are being constructed, and 2018 will see the opening of a few more. New winery construction is on track to raise the number of wineries to more than 18,000. Also in 2018, the state will likely see the opening of at least 50 new wineries, including several planned in Central Oregon.

Many wineries strive to preserve the architectural and historical integrity of their property and blend it with modern design, but others take a more hands-on approach and invest in restoration projects that preserve a property’s agricultural heritage.
